Biographical Information:

A native of India, Dr. Vyas attended medical school at the University of Baroda, graduating in 1968. He completed a radiology residency at Cook County Hospital. Board certified in diagnostic radiology since 1976, Dr. Vyas currently serves as Chief of the Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Service and Acting Associate Director of Clinical Support Services at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, as well as Associate Professor and Vice Chairman of Radiology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science (Chicago Medical School).

Professional Involvement:

An ISMS member since 1985, Dr. Vyas has served as a member and chair of the Governmental Affairs Council, Delegate to the ISMS House of Delegates, and Secretary of the ISMS International Medical Graduates section. He has been a member of the Lake County Medical Society since 1985, serving as its President in 2000 and 2016, as well as in several other officer and committee roles.

Dr. Vyas is a member of the American Medical Association, and has served as a Delegate representing the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and an Alternate Delegate representing ISMS. He is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Indian Medical Association, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
