    Medicare Telemedicine

    COVID-19 has driven unprecedented actions by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to allow expanded use of telemedicine. To learn more about these changes, take ISMS’ online course Make the Most of Medicare with Telemedicine – free for members and their staff. 

    Becky Sanders, Senior Director of the Indiana Rural Health Association and Program Director of the Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center, will cover the basics of Medicare telemedicine reimbursement, including remote patient monitoring and chronic care management.

  • In this COVID-19 Era, Discounted Translation Services Are Available for Telemedicine

    Due to the public health emergency, more physician offices are implementing telemedicine.

    Language Link, an ISMS Benefit Partner, offers interpretation and translation services at a discount for members. In addition to on-site, these services can be delivered via conference call and remote video, which would accommodate telemedicine.  

    Providing effective communication for hearing-impaired and non-English-speaking patients is also required by Illinois law.

    ISMS members receive a 30 percent discount on per-minute fees, with no monthly minimum and no sign-up fee.
