Illinois law allows physician advertising – but with some limits to ad content.
For example, it's ok to advertise your name and title, along with your specialty, office hours, address and telephone number. You may also advertise professional services that you are licensed to render.
What can’t you advertise? Some examples include enticing the public through claims of your superior quality of care or service fee comparisons with other physicians.
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation closely monitors physician advertising for compliance.
