If Patients Don’t Know They Have Hep C, They Miss the Chance to Be Cured
Posted on: 8/28/2017

Recent advances in Hepatitis C treatment provide doctors with more options. But screening is the key to finding those patients who need treatment – because most are unaware they are infected.

ISMS urges physicians to screen their high-risk patients – those born between 1945 and 1965, or who meet certain other conditions – for Hepatitis C, consistent with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

Help build awareness for screening among your patients by hanging this patient poster in your office waiting area or exam rooms.
