Podcast: Exploring Patients’ Ambivalence to MAT
Posted on: 7/2/2018

Patients may have many reasons to be reluctant to start the potentially life-saving medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Therefore, doctors need tactics to navigate patient ambivalence about MAT.

In a new podcast, Ashley Braun-Gabelman, PhD, discusses how to address patients' resistance to MAT and why it’s important to explore this barrier. The patient and family materials Dr. Braun-Gabelman mentions during the podcast are available for download.
