ISMS Is Changing to Align with YOUR Needs, Offer More Flexibility
In an effort to serve Illinois physicians more effectively, ISMS is making significant changes.
At last April's Annual Meeting, the ISMS House of Delegates authorized a three-year membership pilot.
What does this mean for you?
- Membership in both ISMS and your county medical society will
no longer be required.
ISMS and county medical societies both provide value to physicians. The medical profession is strongest when physicians participate in all levels of organized medicine. We also believe in independence and freedom of choice for physicians. As a result,
the pilot alters ISMS’ membership structure and, therefore, you may choose to join ISMS, your county medical society, or both.
- ISMS is working to enhance member benefits to make sure they
are meeting your needs.
New products and services will be rolling out to help you grow and succeed as you care for your patients.
This pilot also impacts our Annual Meeting, policy process and governance:
All of these changes will be in effect for the 2019 membership year to make membership more relevant for you.
As always, ISMS will continue to be your voice in Springfield.
If you would like to provide any input,
please send us an email. We are committed to giving every ISMS member the ability to participate and be heard.
Thank you for your membership!
