ISMS & IMPAC Team Up to Block Harmful Policies

impac The collaborative teamwork of ISMS and the Illinois State Medical Society Political Action Committee (IMPAC) paved the way to thwart many anti-physician policies in 2019.

ISMS advocacy, strengthened by IMPAC's support for physician-friendly legislators, stopped many bad legislative proposals and blocked harmful scope of practice bills.

Although IMPAC is separate and distinct from ISMS, the teamwork demonstrates how much can be accomplished when physicians speak with one unified voice.

But we must continue to build on this momentum as our focus shifts toward the 2020 elections.

Joining IMPAC today will help reinforce our relationships with physician-friendly legislators and defeat those who choose not to stand with us in our fight to protect the practice of medicine in Illinois.
