  • Tobacco 21 Clears General Assembly, Child Abuse Reporting Measure Advances (Did a Little Bird Tell You?)

    This week, ISMS-backed legislation (HB 345) to raise Illinois’ smoking age to 21 passed the Illinois General Assembly. Both chambers passed this important public health measure by more than 2 to 1 margins!  It now goes to Gov. Pritzker for signing. We are optimistic it will soon be law.

    This week we also learned that an ISMS-initiated child abuse reporting bill cleared a key Senate committee.
