The Pritzker administration has developed the
Business Interruption Grant (BIG) program to provide economic relief for small businesses by helping offset losses related to COVID-19. If your medical office had losses exceeding $5,000 due to the pandemic, you are eligible to apply.
This is the
second round of BIG funding. A total of $220 million (out of the original $636 million) is now available for small businesses of all types in Illinois until the fund is depleted. You may use the money to help with payroll costs, rent, utilities and other operational costs.
Applications for “Round 2” of BIG funding are now live. Apply
here.
Businesses
must attest that they have at least $5,000 in eligible costs or losses.
Administered jointly by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS), the BIG program leverages federal funding provided by the CARES Act.
