Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the structure and function of Clinical Competency Committees.
  • Describe the importance of Clinical Competency Committees in an outcomes-based accreditation system.
  • Discuss how Clinical Competency Committees contribute to response process validity in assessment data.
  • Identify ways to support continuity in trainee’s professional development.
  • Address gaps in preparation for residency and practice.
  • Design modifications to the learning environment that support well-being for trainees, faculty, and staff.
